Business Name & Brand

Start by choosing the name you want to operate under – it needs to be meaningful to you, but also must be uniquely identifiable to your customers.

Before you spend any money, check whether anyone else is using your chosen name on Google and the availability of the URL, Instagram handle, and Facebook pages.

Once selected, make sure you register your ABN and Business name with ASIC if needed.

Note: There are some fabulous free resources and templates provided by the WA Small Business Development Corporation, including How to Start a Business. You may even be eligible to receive the federal government Small Enterprise Assistance allowance while establishing yourself.

Booking System

You would have already researched booking and payment systems as part of your diploma.

Choose your preferred system and get your profile started so that it is ready to integrate into your website.

Brand

Your brand is more than a logo. Consistent colours, fonts, graphics and layouts give your customers create a reliable perception of your business, and allow you to develop professional-looking content without starting from scratch every time.
